40 GB PS3 Announced

The 40GB PS3 system has just been announced this morning. The downside, only in Europe. It will launch in Europe on October 10th for €399, which in $565. We don't know what the US price will actually be, but we do know that a US release will be announced before the holiday season. It is confirmed however, that the 40GB system will have only two USB ports rather than four, will not support the multi-memory card port and it will be unable to be backwards compatible with PS2 games. The good news is, it has also been announced in London that the 60GB PS3 System will be reduced to €499 ($707), which means that a price drop in the US is very likely before the holiday season. More on this will be posted when it becomes available.
